Plan your excursion according to what you can cover comfortably during daylight hours, but carry enough to survive overnight in case of an emergency, also a cell phone.

Distances

  • From the parking lot (at the edge of Hwy 3 to the trailhead) = 0.7 KM (return = 1.4 KM)
  • From the trailhead, around the first loop and back to the trailhead = 8.7 KM
  • From the trailhead, around the outside of the first 2 loops and back to the trailhead = 17.4 KM
  • From the trailhead, around the outside of the first 3 loops and back to the trailhead = 23.4 KM
  • From the trailhead, around outside of all 4 loops and back to the trailhead = 29.0 KM

Note that these distances will not correspond exactly with GPS readings since GPS readings do not take into account changes in elevation.
